"There is an unmet need to adapt for the rest of the world guidelines and standards that have been developed in western countries," said Dr. Sengupta, International Chair for the World Summit. "The theme for this summit is Global Implementation of Best Practice Opportunities and Challenges in Cardiovascular Ultrasound. But what makes the World Summit a must-attend meeting is the stellar faculty that will be representing each of the collaborating echocardiography societies." Each participating society has agreed to sponsor 2-3 faculty members from their organization for this event, thereby creating a diverse and robust 3-day teaching environment. The summit will allow attendees to explore the current pulse of global cardiovascular ultrasound that includes focused exams, automated analysis, optimized workflow, data connectivity, telemedicine and cloud computing, documentation, and negotiating the balancing act between high quality and cost-effective patterns.
